As a teenager I was always interested in music, but only when I went to secondary school I discovered the possibility of being a DJ.

I started off as a DJ who was willing to play everything, from Elvis Presley to Madonna, I slowly discovered house music. But my fist residency was at a club called “Cyrano de Bergerac”. This club was known for his diversity in music, so from reggae to disco. But the house music was not a main ingredient of this night and this was what I wanted to play.

@ a club called “Chin Chin” I got a chance to show my love for house music. And quite soon after this I got a residency in “De Dansfabriek” (Dutch for Dance factory). Here I played as DJ Alpha for several years, every night from Thursday till Saturday. Beside this I was also a resident for the (in Holland) famous “After 5” club. Here I played with all the big names like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Marco V.  All this DJ-ing made it possible for me to play at several places in Europe.

Due to a friend of mine, who lived in Scotland, I got the possibility to play @ a club called “the Ice Factory”. Here I played several times until a guy called Chas Rose heard me and wanted me to become the resident DJ of a new club night called “Club Oxygen”. Here I played for several years with some big UK names like Fergie, Lisa Pin Up, Mark Sherry, Tidy Boys, Anne Savage, 12” Thumper s  Andy Farley and many more.

Now a day’s I still DJ in my home town Utrecht in the Netherlands and in Edinburgh @ Club Oxygen under my own name DJ Johan van Alphen with the same enthusiasm as I did when I started as a DJ.

I am the main resident DJ for Club Oxygen in Edinburgh and continue to produce great sets for this club night that has now been running for 12 years on and off. Club Oxygen is an amazing Trance club established in 2000. This night has gone from strength to strength  with the continued support of UK clubber's and the dedication  hard work and belief of the promoters.

Deejay Archy has been DJ’ing since 1991 when he got two belt drive record players and a realistic two channel mixer his main sound at that time was techno. His best DJ’s at the time where the legends Dave Angel and CJ Bolland, after nine months DJ’ing he started off playing at a club which was based in Edinburgh on a boat (Club Corruption) which he was a resident for six months playing alongside DJ’s Ross Keddie, Dave Fleming and Craig Hickey, then in 1995 Deejay Archy was a resident DJ in Club Scotia based in Chesser in Edinburgh where he played alongside the legend Tom Wilson and Scott Brown Back in 2000.

Deejay Archy took a break from DJ’ing to raise his daughter and after two years he got back in to the DJ scene and went to Godskitchen at Ingilston Edinburgh where he got the trance bug after seeing Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten and went to lots of club nights in Edinburgh including Club Oxygen which was the biggest Trance night in Edinburgh and with lots of top class DJ’s playing every month including DJ Alpha (aka Johan Van Alphen) who Archy admired for his mixing skills and his choice of tunes to get the dance floor rocking. In 2003 he went to Inner-city in Holland and loved the way the trance was building up then in 2004 went back to Holland and seen Tiesto live in concert after that he was hooked on the trance sound and has been mixing trance ever since.

Deejay Archy has played on many online radio stations in the last few years and is now a resident DJ on Corruption 106 online radio where you can catch him live every weekend hosting his Saturday night global trance show from 10 pm till 1am.

In the last few years Deejay Archy has played in clubs in Scotland and England including: Back To The Future at the 02 Academy in Glasgow, and is now a resident DJ for the club that got him back in to the clubbing scene in early 2000 Club Oxygen alongside Johan Van Alphen and Ross Jackson and in the last six months he has warmed up for the man that made him want to be a DJ the legend Dave Angel and he has played alongside some top names in the trance scene like Orla Feeney, Akira Kayosa and Johan Van Alphen. Ross Jackson has been active on the Edinburgh club scene since the mid 90s, playing a number of venues across the city including the legendary (but now sadly no longer) Venue, Cabaret Voltaire, Club Java, and The GRV as well as running his own night Section 63 at The Lane. He has also played for Sublime at Azure nightclub in Glasgow.

Ross is currently resident at monthly house and trance night Club Oxygen in Edinburgh. Not one to be pigeonholed into any one style, Ross plays across-the-board house music. His current favored styles are progressive and electro house though you might also catch him playing tech house and techno. Expect an eclectic and energetic set when you catch him playing live.
